After nearly a decade of marriage, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are headed for divorce. News of the funny couple’s separation broke Thursday, shocking fans who had no inclination anything was amiss in their relationship.
While a rep for the couple, who wed in August of 2003, has confirmed the separation no official statement has been given.
Amy Poehler and Will Arnett became parents in 2008, with the birth of son Archibald William Emerson “Archie” Arnett. Their second son, Abel James Arnett, was born on August 6, 2010.
The soon-to-be exes are slated to both appear at the Emmy’s in just a few weeks, where she’s nominated for her work Parks and Recreation and he’s up for an award for a guest appearance on 30 Rock.
A source said of the not-so funny news, “It’s very amicable.”
