Reps for Charlize Theron have confirmed the actress has shaved her head for an upcoming role in Mad Max 4: Fury Road.

Since adopting her first child, the 36-year-old has been quite the busy working mom. Charlize Theron and Jackson, now 6-months-old, have been traveling the world to promote both Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus.

“Motherhood was something I always knew I wanted to experience,” the actress recently told InStyle in its June issue, adding that adoption has been a “great opportunity for someone like me who wants to have a family. … I can only hope to be 10 percent of the mom mine was to me.”
