It’s especially important to note that Michelle Duggar could have a high risk pregnancy given that she’s 45 and, when pregnant with daughter Josie, she had life-threatening preeclampsia.
How is Michelle Duggar staying healthy with her 20th pregnancy? She tells People.com, “I am taking a power nap every day. And I’m eating a lot of protein and green vegetables and no caffeine, which is a new thing for me.”
Duggar said that she is definitely working with a doctor to stay in the best health during her pregnancy, explaining, “I read up a lot on preeclampsia [while pregnant with Josie], and it is a crazy, random thing. I have been getting counseled from a high-risk pregnancy doctor in Little Rock and taking good care of myself.”
As for the critics that blast the Duggars for having so many kids, Michelle explains, “We know having this many kids isn’t for everyone. But we are open to receive whatever gifts God wants us to have. And we are so excited and thrilled about this pregnancy.”
In other Duggar news, Jimmy Kimmel was happy to grab a laugh from the “19 Kids and Counting” family’s latest announcement (video):
