Jennifer Garner Seeks to Do the Infertility Struggle Justice

Jennifer Garner’s latest role in The Odd Life of Timothy Green has her playing a woman who is heartbroken over being unable to have a child of her own. This isn’t the first time the actress, mom to three kids in real life, has played a woman dealing with infertility issues, though. Remember Vanessa from 2007′s hit film Juno?

“This movie is inspirational,” Jennifer Garner told Us Weekly at the premiere of her latest film. In The Odd Life of Timothy Green she and husband Jim (played by Joel Edgerton) dream of the child they can’t have — and then the magic happens.

“I have even more friends who’ve struggled with fertility since Juno, and if anything, I just brought an even deeper respect for the frustration and the heartbreak and everything they go through,” the mother of Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with husband Ben Affleck shared. “I just try to do them right. That’s all I hope — that they see it and don’t say, ‘You were so off. I’m sorry.’”

You can catch Jennifer Garner on the big screen August 15, when The Odd Life of Timothy Green opens in theaters.
