Why, hello there Maxwell! Jessica Simpson showed off her baby girl to Twitter friends Tuesday by sharing the photo seen here, along with the message, “Howdy friends.”

The firstborn child of Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson is now 8-weeks-old, having been born on May 1 weighing 9 pounds, 13 ounces.

“I absolutely love my family,” the new mom tweeted June 20. “Maxwell amazes Eric and I every day with every little thing she does!”

“From what I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!” Jessica Simpson gushed to People in the issue she and baby girl covered. “We stare at her all the time. We can’t get enough!”
