Kate Hudson Shares Baby Bingham’s Hilarious Birth Story

Kate Hudson may have hoped her mother, Goldie Hawn, would be a calming influence while she labored during son Bingham’s birth, but her efforts proved to have quite the opposite effect!

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, Kate Hudson shared, “I called my mom to tell her I’m in the hospital and in labor. And she was like ok, well how much time do I have because I was going to take a swim.”

“I’m just like, ‘Can you get here in an hour?’ She shows up and I have not eaten in like 10 hours. She shows up with a pizza and Doritos! She’s like, ‘I’m starving!’”

Once happily full, Goldie Hawn set to work helping out. Kate Hudson continued, “She wants to be in control of everything. She puts on these reading glasses that have headlights on them. So now my mom, I’m looking up. I have my doctor and my mom kind of looking over with these headlights.”

“She brings a magnolia flower. She brings this large magnolia. And she starts to do these visualizations with me. She’s going, ‘Imagine your va-jay-jay as a large magnolia flower blossoming.”

“I’m like, ‘Mom, I don’t want to imagine anything on my body that big… ever!’ I mean it was huge.”

Goldie Hawn’s odd behavior was then complimented by fiancĂ© Matt Bellamy, who set to work filming baby Bingham‘s birth from some curious points of view.

“I’m really in labor and I see like Matt crawling towards the thing setting up the flip camera to try and get the right angle on the birth,” Kate Hudson recalled. “Meanwhile, my mom’s going ‘That’s not normal, it that normal?’ It really was a Woody Allen film!”
