Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are getting a divorce! The shocking news Suri Curise’s parents are parting ways broke Friday, leading many to wonder who will get custody of their 6-year-old daughter.

According to TMZ, Katie Holmes’ divorce papers request a “suitable amount” of child support from Tom Cruise, along with full custody. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest,” her attorney Jonathan Wolfe confirmed.

“He had no idea this was coming,” a gossip source told People about Tom Cruise’s reaction to Katie’s filing for their upcoming cover story. “He’s totally devastated and heartbroken.”

Tom’s rep, however, said this in an official statement:

“Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy to work this out.”

The 49-year-old’s previous divorce from Nicole Kidman resulted in shared custody of their two adopted children  – though they both decided to live full-time with their father later on.
