Baby girl number two has arrived for Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard! The pair, already parents of 5-year-old daughter Ramona, welcomed a second daughter on April 19 — and once again went traditional with their baby name choice.
Us Weekly has confirmed Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s better-late-than-never baby news, reporting that the newborn’s name is Gloria Ray!
It comes as no surprise that the private couple, who didn’t confirm the actress was pregnant until the second trimester, waited 11 days after their daughter’s birth to make an announcement. Speaking of hiding her pregnancy the 34-year-old said previously, “I find it difficult to pretend you’re not pregnant, which I had to do. I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.”
No word yet on how Ramona is feeling about her newborn sister, but Peter Sarsgaard did share previously he had concerns how the siblings would work things out.
“I’ve seen kids with siblings — I don’t have any siblings, so I don’t know — but they generally go for about five minutes, ‘Oh, cool! Anyway, what are we going to do now? Can we return it?’” the actor said. “I think it gets boring quickly, at first, and it takes a while for them to bond.”
Here’s hoping all is going well so far for the new family of four!
