Welcome to parenthood, Nick and Vanessa Lachey! The famous pair have welcomed their first child together, and are happily telling the world about their big news.

In a statement to People magazine sent Wednesday evening, the couple shared:

“We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey.

Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us.”

The child is the first for both, who wed in July of 2011 after dating for five years.

While there’s been no reason given yet for the baby name pick Camden, we do know another famous babe who was recently given that name too: Kristin Cavallari and Jay Culter’s baby Camden Jack!
