When Noah Wyle took part in a Medicaid protest in April, he knew he’d more than likely get arrested. The actor, father of two, even went so far as to warn his family beforehand!
Of preparing for the protest, Noah Wyle admitted to People, “It’s a pretty complex issue to try to explain to a 6- and a 9-year-old.”
Still, after all was said and done, and the 40-year-old had been released by the law, it turned out that his son Owen was understanding — and thankfully approving!
“I did talk to my son after I got released early the next morning,” Wyle shared, adding that he “kind of explained it in as simple terms as possible, and I thought I was going on a little bit too long and I may have lost him, but as soon as I stopped talking, he just jumped in and said, ‘I think you did the right thing, Dad.’ ”
Approval from his own son was powerful for the actor, who added, “It brought tears to my eyes then, and it does now thinking about it. It was great.”
