Sheryl Crow and her two sons hit the beach Wednesday, taking time to chase the waves and go for a bike ride.

The singer, who adopted Wyatt in 2007 and Levi in 2010, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Lance Armstrong‘s doping scandal, though carefully didn’t go into too much detail about what she did or didn’t know was going on.

“I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free,” the 50-year-old advised.

Speaking of the man she dated from 2003 to 2006, and was even engaged to, Sheryl Crow added, “To carry around a weight like that would be devastating in the long run.”
