Shakira is pregnant! iHeartRadio music fans looking forward to seeing the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer perform may be out of luck, but there is much to celebrate for the 35-year-old and boyfriend Gerard Pique.

“As some of you know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!” Shakira wrote to fans from her web site Wednesday, officially announcing her pregnancy.

Having baby on board, however, means canceling a few gigs. Shakira continued, “At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”

The parents-to-be began dating in March of last year, a few months after Shakira announced the end of her 11-year relationship with Antonio de la Rúa.
